Syarah: Jurnal Hukum Islam (Islamic Law Journal)logo

with registered number ISSN 2302-9978 (Print), is a peer-reviewed journal published two times a year (January-July, and August-December) by Faculty of Sharia,  State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Indonesia. Syarah is intended to be the journal for publishing articles reporting the results of research on Islamic Laws, Islamic Studies, Muamalah, Zakat, Waqf, and other related with Islamic Laws. 

The Syarah invites manuscripts in the various topics include, but not limited to areas of Islamic Laws, Islamic Studies, Muamalah, Zakat, Waqf, and other related with Islamic Laws.

 This journal emphasizes specifications in the discourse of Islamic Law, and communicates actual and contemporary research and problems with regard to Islamic studies. This journal openly accepts the contributions of experts from related disciplines. All published articles do not necessarily represent the views of journals, or other institutions that have links to journal publications.

FOCUS
"SYARAH: Jurnal Hukum Islam dan Ekonomi" focuses on Islamic law studies and economics discusses Islamic laws and economic from all sides: jurisprudences, sociology of law and economics, the methodology of legal reasoning, Usul al-Fiqh, legal maxims and the developments of Islamic legal cultures.


SCOPE
"SYARAH: Jurnal Hukum Islam dan Ekonomi” receives articles studying and discussing Islamic laws and economics, which includes: Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), Islamic legal methodology (Usul al-Fiqh), Islamic criminal law, Islamic civil law, Islamic marriage law, Islamic family law, Islamic economic law, Islamic law as national law, and Islamic law and economics contemporary.

Publication Ethics

The journal of Syarah is a peer-reviewed national journal, available in print and online and published twice a year (January  and July). This statement clarifies ethical behaviour of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, the peer-reviewer and the publisher (Graduate Faculty of Sharia, State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Indonesia). This statement is based on COPE & Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Peer Review Process

The reviewed script is the original text and not plagiarism that has been selected by the editorial board and is prepared based on the provisions of journal writing. Research articles submitted to Jurnal Syarah will be reviewed by at least 2 (Two) reviewers with uses a double-blind review process. In this case, reviewers have the authority to review the authenticity of the manuscript, scientific accuracy of the manuscript, do not make personal contact with the author without editor's permission, determine the scope of work, show ways to improve the reviewed text, and provide recommendations for rejection or acceptance of the manuscript through rating review scale. Accepted research articles will be available online according to the journal peer review process. The language used in this journal is Indonesia and English.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Terms and Conditions of Being Jurnal Syarah Reviewer

  1. Recommended by the editorial board and willing to be given assignments by the editorin Chief.
  2. Approve and Sign Forms Join As Reviewers.
  3. Have expertise in accordance with the field of science of the script to be reviewed.
  4. Has a track record as a writer of books, articles of jurisprudences, sociology of law and economics, the methodology of legal reasoning, Usul al-Fiqh, legal maxims and the developments of Islamic legal cultures.
  5. Willing to fulfill the conditions for writing and publishing journal manuscripts.
  6. Deliver the results of a written and clear review of the manuscript to the editorial board.
