Abstract

Early childhood is children aged 0 to 6 years. During this period all aspects of development can be stimulated in various ways and forms. Early Childhood Education (PAUD) has an important role in encouraging children's growth and development to enter the level of education properly. In Law Number 20 Year 2003 concerning National Education System article 1, item 14 explains that PAUD is a coaching effort aimed at children from birth until the age of six years, which is carried out through the provision of educational stimuli to help physical and spiritual growth and development so that children have readiness to enter further education. Stimulating imagination in children is an attempt to stimulate the potential aspects of development in children. Children's imagination can also be used as a means for children to learn to understand the reality of their existence and their environment. Imagination for children is one of the needs. The ability to imagine in early childhood can be obtained from imitating the shows they watch (imitation) or the influence can also be obtained from reading the storybooks they hear. If we are able to hone, develop and manage the imagination of children, then imagination will be very beneficial in developing aspects of development for early childhood.
